But whose fault is it that everything is still at low ebb? Who's to blame for NIGERIA'S current and past predicament?
Perhaps we should blame the government for not being fair to us. Or we should blame the international communities for making our country a hell on earth.
Perhaps we should blame the government for not being fair to us. Or we should blame the international communities for making our country a hell on earth.
I must confess, NIGERIA you and I always dream of will never come to reality until we stop blaming everything on the government. It's high time we started fixing the porthole on our own part :we should stop whiling away our precious time and watch our dear nation as it burns in distance.
Though the government has proved its incapability of managing the affair of the state to us as the whole country, except view, have gone rogue.
Obasanjo was not our problem, neither was Jonathan or PMB ;we're the fairy demons inflicting suffering on our dear souls and the country at large. The atrocities committed by our founding fathers and past leaders are now coming back to hunt and thwart us as the problem ,without any gainsaying, can be directly link to our ancestry (our founding fathers ).who knowingly indulge in the nefarious act of corruption, favouritism and nepotism.
Let's think back to 1960 when we attained the so called self - government (Independence) till 1966 when the military seized the government, it was the horrendous act of the then politicians that paved way for the men in khaki and till today we're unable to rid our country off the mid reshaping and out of place act and practices upon which our so called nation was built on - mark my word, we're going no where until corruptive practices which as poisoned our soul against one another has no place anymore in our society.
In addition, the change you and I crave so badly should start with us, do not expect any government, upon elected, perform any impossible magic ,as promised during their different campaigns, to make NIGERIA LOOK LIKE THE US in a matter of time. Come on don't be ridiculous! The AMERICANS also have their own horrible tale to tell
.
.
The US, after series of war and negotiations , attained self government from the Great Britain on July 4th 1776 becoming the first European country granted Independence by Great Britain and that's when their "more complex than NIGERIA'S " problem started.
They struggled so hard until after the world wars when its world domination began. Lest I forget, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA has also gone through slavery, Confedralism and other nature undermining crisis.
Back to our own problem, some Nigerian would even blame their personal problem on the government. Or when they're in any form of mishap brought upon them by their own silliness they won't blame it on any other body than the government - funny enough is the government your village witch?
Do not expect anything from NIGERIA when you also have any good thing other than a pile of curse and an unending nag, to offer.
Come on grow up, let's make good use of our brain, let's get our brain working and we should make good use of ourselves. Our sense of patriotism should be reawakened and we should have the interest of our dear nation at heart.
We should make our own contribution in any way we can. The likes of OBAFEMI, ZIK, BALEWA and others would not be forgotten for their indelible and irreplaceable valour. What are you doing in your own part to make Nigeria a safe haven?
Because I don't know how things will change when we cunningly relief fellow Nigerians off their purse, when killings ,which has now become our sole identity, either for ritual or ethnic reason is still pervasive. With all these how can we move forward? I don't think we can, we the youth who I believe to be the future of our dear country should not indulge in the despicable act of our fathers, we can make a better thing out of our lives we should not give up. We should stop sticking to the idea that NIGERIA WILL NEVER CHANGE FOR BETTER because I believe we can turn things around all by ourselves.
For goodness sake, we should stop tarnishing the image of our dear nation. We will do it because I know we can if we put in all our best please do remember that we will be held responsible by God for how our dear country turned sour.
Work hard, study hard and play less, do the right thing at the right time and don't leave any stone unturned in the course of the nation's progress. Remember you're an ambassador of Nigeria in any territory you find yourself and your good or bad deeds will be linked to Nigeria as a country.
GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA AND GOD BLESS ANY CITIZEN WHO HAS INTEREST OF NIGERIA AT HEART.
