WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE INTERNET

Many have seen the internet as a set up propelled by an act of voodooism or funny enough, witchcraft. That aside, when was the internet invented?  Who invented the internet and why? That's a lot of questions many have on their mind but don't know who to ask.

The invention of computer ushered in the creation of the internet which is different from the WORLD WIDE WEB (www) which people often used confusedly.



    
REASON FOR THE INVENTION OF INTERNET.

The inventors of internet did not just wake up one morning and think of it creation, it was an idea which underwent many stages and their reason for creating it was classified into two : Defence / security reason and communication-ease reason.

Now follow me as I break up the narration in full. In response to the satellite (SPUTNIK; first man made satellite ) lunched by the Soviet Union in 1957 the US restlessness began because at the time the Cold War was at its peak and by the time, the US and Soviet Union were sworn enemies.
The US belief was that if Soviet Union could launch a satellite into the space they might eventually launch an attack on the continent of North America and to allay this overwhelming fear and trepidation the then president Dwight D. created the Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA)  now DEFENCE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECT AGENCY (DARPA)  IN 1958 to counter the Soviet Union's SPUTNIK with the sole aim of giving the US edge over the world in term of technology

Now this is where internet came into existence, with the creation of ARPA,it sought the help of technological company Bolt, Beranek and Newman (BBN) to create a computer network, the created network was connected to four computers functioning on different OS (operating system)  and the network was later named ARPANET.

It was ARPANET that paved way for today's network and without it there won't be anything called internet and if there would be, it would be around late 90's because it was ARPANET that joined Force with other network companies which resulted to the creation of the internet in full (that's in 1977 after series of hard work by the then computer engineers and scientists)

people often confused the two concepts for each other while they mean different thing entirely. Internet is a global interconnection of computer networks while the world wide web is a way to surf this vast network. 

Early internet users were government officials, scientists and graduates.  It was the invention of Lee that made the use of internet more easy and efficient because in 1994 the use of internet was commercialized. 

And today internet is not more a mystery as it had become an important aspect of everybody's life and without it I don't think the balance of the world won't hit a lasting crisis

Without any gainsaying, the invention of science and technology i.e the internet, have showered upon us countless advantages and an immeasurable evils. 

The nowadays generation ,because of their vile and evil-born intentions, have made the use of internet more devilish. Internet is the cause of most major unethical vices our different societies are now facing. 

How do we rid ourselves of these vices and make our youths more responsible, reliable, eager to learn, and more respectful as they once were? It's the job of all of us, we should launch a campaign against #internetabuse thereby creating awareness about what internet abuse might breed.
